This site charts the ongoing trials and tribulations of our attempts at transforming our house into an eco home ........ on a budget.

We'd like to show how we made significant reductions to our home's environmental impact without spending tens of thousands of pounds or demolishing and starting again. Whilst this might be great if you're on Grand Designs, we didn't have that sort money!

As soon as we started investigating what we could do to improve our Victorian home, we soon realised that there is a lot of "greenwash" out there and very few places where you good get good advice beyond very simple measures. We're not builders or architects - but we aren't afraid of getting our hands dirty and hopefully you can learn from some of our successes (also our failures) and avoid getting conned!
