Workshop at Buddhafield Green Earth Awakening

10/6/2014

I am really looking forward to running a workshop at this years Buddhafield event. It will be a talk about what we have done over the past few years and will focus on the fact that you need to take a holistic approach to refurbishment.

If you haven't heard about the Green Earth Awakening (you don't need to be Buddhist - I'm not) then look here:-

We went to their larger event last year and had a great time - most recommended (and not just because I'm speaking!)

Presentation at EcoBuild 2013

I had the great pleasure of being asked to speak at this years Ecobuild exhibition as part of a session entitled "Renovation of heritage properties: energy conservation v's building conservation".

It was a very strange experience as I was one of the few people speaking at the event who didn't work in the profession, but I did get some great feedback from some members of the audience. I've attached a copy of my presentation below just in case anyone is interested.

Green Abode article

The great people at Green Abode have published a guest article about my experiences of getting cavity wall insulation installed in our Victorian house - see http://www.greenabode.co.uk/victorian-house-cavity-wall-insulation/

I have had a couple of people contact me saying that Victorian homes only have solid walls - clearly they haven't read the article!

After many weeks of work the site is finally live!
This is an ongoing project so I will be adding material and updating on progress.
I hope that you find it useful and would appreciate any feedback or questions that you may have.

Many thanks to Trudy at Bricks and Bread for giving me the inspiration to get this far!
